Energy Efficiency

Increasing the energy supply is not the only answer to a stable future. Reducing demand through the improved efficiency of devices and procedures has the same end result.
Refrigeration, Governments and industry joined forces to research and develop improvement to the efficiency of household refrigeration.
On 1974, the average consumption per refrigerator was 1,800 kilowatts, by 1990, average consumption dropped to 916 kilowatt/year - about half of what it was only 15 years earlier. Today the average is 450 Kilowatt/year.
