Your Committee

The ongoing management of Whalers Cove is the responsibility of residents

Understand the owners corporation!
An owners corporation committee is a legal structured organised group that manages and maintains the common property of a residential, commercial, retail, industrial development to ensure the best interests of Owners Corporation are preserved through the establishment of Owners Corporation Rules.
Committee members must be Lot owners, and once elected, hold office until a new committee is elected. There must not be more than one committee member from any one lot.

As well as other things the Owners Corporation committee member or subcommittee member must, act honestly and in good faith, exercise due care and diligence, not make improper use of his or her position as a member to gain directly or indirectly an advantage for themselves or for any other person and report to the Owners Corporation at each Annual General Meeting.

The Whalers Cove Committee has created a list of expectations for Lot Owners who might consider joining the Committee.  The expectations include that Owners Corporation committee members will attend all meetings, read all documents provided to committee members, actively participate in general activities of the Committee, take a leadership role in contributing to workings of the Committee and attend the appropriate Annual General Meeting.

To be elected to the Body Corporate you must submit your nomination papers at least 30 days prior to the Annual General Meeting and be nominated at your Annual General Meeting.
It is through this cross community involvement that we will ensure a growing and dynamic community meeting our needs. Should you require further information in being a committee member, you can directly e-mail info@mbcmfrankston.com.au New members are always most welcome.
